Rodney Ouellette was a high school student in Shediac, NB when Terry ran through the town. Terry was starting to capture the public’s imagination and large crowds gathered whenever he spoke. So when he stopped at the school to give a short speech, the gym was packed. Rodney remembers that he spoke about his commitment to raising funds and awareness for cancer research. Rodney was inspired by Terry and his passion.

Today, Dr. Rodney Ouellette is one of Canada’s leading cancer researchers and founder of the Atlantic Cancer Research Institute, and a key part of the Marathon of Hope Cancer Centres Network.
