I met Terry one morning at the Cape Breton side of the causeway. It was about 7:00 AM. There was not a lot of people there. We saw Billy Joe Mac Lean who was mayor at the time and stopped to see what was going on. In the next few minutes Terry came around the turn and impressed me to no end by what he was doing.
This was early in the run and not too many were following. I had heard of the run and was very surprised to be able to be there for it.
Terry you inspired a nation and may god bless you for your determination, strength, and heart.
