This intimate “fireside chat” between the two Judiths is part of our 45th anniversary celebrations of Terry’s Marathon of Hope. And it’s one of the ways we’re celebrating your incredible support of the Terry Fox Foundation.
At the young age of 24, Judith Ray became Head Nurse at Royal Columbian Hospital, in New Westminster, BC. In 1977, that’s where she met Terry Fox. Terry had been diagnosed with osteogenic sarcoma and would require amputation and chemotherapy.
Judith and Terry struck up a friendship. Judith became one of Terry’s biggest cheerleaders on his Marathon of Hope. This year, as we commemorate the 45th anniversary of Terry’s run, Judith Ray and Judith Fox invited Terry Foxers from across Canada to join them for this very personal conversation about Terry, his incredible legacy, and what it means going forward to FINISH IT.
