Contest runs from July 24, 2024 to August 24, 2024 at 11:59 pm ET. One winner will be chosen by random draw and contacted via email on August 26, 2024. Good luck and thank you for your support!

*Flights will be from the winner’s closest major Canadian airport to Heathrow Airport with a connection at Toronto Pearson International Airport. Flight will be economy class. The winner and their guest will meet a guide at Heathrow Airport and travel approximately three hours by private shuttle to the Ramada Plaza Wrexham hotel. Return transportation will be provided on the same pattern.

TERRY FOX FOUNDATION TRIP TO WREXHAM CONTEST

By participating in the Terry Fox Foundation Trip to Wrexham Contest (the “Contest”), you confirm to have received, understood, and agreed to the following contest rules and regulations (the “Rules”).

1. Who is eligible to enter the Contest?
The Contest is exclusive to individuals who are current residents of Canada and are at least 18 years old as of July 24, 2024.

The following individuals are not eligible to enter the Contest:

a) Current employees and board members of the Terry Fox Foundation or Terry Fox Research Institute, and staff of related agencies and/or corporations.

b) A member from the household of any of the individuals listed in (a).

c) Immediate family members (including but not limited to spouse, sibling, parent, child) of the individuals listed in (a).

2. What are the dates of the Contest?
The Contest will run from July 24, 2024 to August 24, 2024 at 11:59 pm ET. Entries to the Contest will only be accepted during this period. A winner will be contacted by email from a staff member of the Terry Fox Foundation on August 26, 2024.

3. How do I participate in the Contest?
No purchase necessary to enter the Contest. For a chance to win, participants must complete the following criteria during the Contest period:

a) Follow the Terry Fox Foundation’s official Instagram account.

b) Like and comment on the Terry Fox Foundation’s official Wrexham Contest Instagram post.

c) Register for the 2024 Terry Fox Run and collect 10 sponsors on their Terry Fox Run fundraising page.

Participants can also receive a bonus entry (“Bonus Entry”) by signing up as a Terry Fox Foundation monthly donor at terryfox.org/ways-to-give.

If all or any of the above entry and/or Bonus Entry criteria are completed prior to the start date of the Contest and are in good standing by the Contest end date, said completed criteria will be considered valid for Contest entry.

4. How many times can I enter the Contest?
All participants who complete the criteria outlined in 3 a), 3 b), and 3 c) will receive ONE entry to the Contest. Participants can receive ONE additional entry by completing the Bonus Entry criteria outlined in section 3 above. One participant can have a maximum of TWO entries.

5. What is the Contest prize?
The winner (“Winner”) of the Contest will receive a prize (the “Prize”) consisting of:

• Round-trip economy flights for two people from the winner’s closest major Canadian airport to Heathrow Airport with a connection at Toronto Pearson International Airport.
• Round-trip shuttle transportation from Heathrow Airport, England to Wrexham, Wales
• Three-night accommodations at the Ramada Plaza Wrexham from October 11, 2024, to October 14, 2024
• A “Welcome to Wrexham, Canada” celebration at the Turf Pub in Wrexham, Wales
• A private guided tour of the Wrexham Miners Rescue Station
• Two tickets to a Wrexham AFC home game at the Racecourse Ground
• Automatic registration for the first-ever Wrexham Terry Fox Run with Fred Fox, Terry’s older brother
• Two 2024 Terry Fox Run #NoMatterWhat shirts
• One Wrexham AFC jersey and merchandise prize pack
• A Canadian Thanksgiving Dinner at Maesgwyn Hall in Wrexham, Wales

Approximate retail value of the Prize is $6,500 CAD. Actual value of the Prize will depend on departure and return location in Canada and any fluctuations in Prize item fares. The Winner will not be awarded any difference between the approximate retail value and actual value.

6. Are there Prize conditions?

a) The Winner and their guest will be required to travel from Canada to Heathrow Airport, England and from Heathrow Airport, England to Canada using flights booked by the Terry Fox Foundation.

b) The Winner and their guest will be required to travel from Heathrow Airport, England to Wrexham, Wales and from Wrexham, Wales to Heathrow Airport, England using the shuttle service provided by the Terry Fox Foundation.

c) The Winner and their guest must have valid documentation for travel to the United Kingdom.

d) A minimum of one person, either the Winner or their guest, must travel with a valid credit card to cover any incidentals or other requirements at hotel check-in.

e) The Prize consists exclusively of the items listed in section 5 above. No additional costs associated with partaking in the Prize activities and events will be covered (including but not limited to, additional accommodations, meals, excursions, phone service, insurance, transportation, baggage fees, in-flight purchases, etc.). Any additional costs will be the sole responsibility of the Winner and their guest.

f) The Prize is non-refundable, non-transferable, not for sale, and has no cash value. 

7. How will the Winner be selected?
The Winner will be chosen by random draw on August 26, 2024 from the group of eligible entries.

8. Can the Prize be altered after the Contest opens?
The Terry Fox Foundation and members involved in the creation of this Contest reserve the right to alter Prize inclusions if required in the Foundation’s sole discretion. Alterations may occur due to situations outside of the Terry Fox Foundation’s control, such as, but not limited to, weather, illness, travel delays, world events, etc. The Winner of the Contest will be made aware of any Prize alterations and will be provided with additional Prize options if required. It is the Terry Fox Foundation’s intent to run the Contest as originally outlined in the Terms and Conditions above.
