About the Film:
Produced and directed by Sean Menard, this feature-length documentary offers an unprecedented look at Canadian hero Terry Fox’s 1980 Marathon of Hope. Through 96 reels of never-before-seen visuals and unheard audio interviews, viewers are brought directly into the van and onto the streets with Terry and his team, experiencing the raw, emotional, and historic journey like never before.
About the Director:
Sean Menard is an award-winning Toronto-based director celebrated for his compelling pop culture documentaries. Run Terry Run will be his fourth feature-length documentary. His most recent film, 299 Queen Street West, premiered at SXSW 2023 and explored the meteoric rise of MuchMusic. The Carter Effect (Netflix), which examined NBA superstar Vince Carter’s transformative impact on basketball in Canada, premiered at TIFF 2017 and was executive produced by Drake and LeBron James. Menard recently completed The Sneaker Boom, a five-part docuseries on the explosive growth of basketball sneaker marketing in the 1990s, set to premiere on Crave in Canada and executive produced by former NBA All-Star Blake Griffin.
