TERRY FOX FOUNDATION PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND CONTEST

By participating in the Terry Fox Foundation Prince Edward Island Contest (the “Contest”), you confirm to have received, understood, and agreed to the following contest rules and regulations (the “Rules”).

1. Who is eligible to enter the Contest? 


The Contest is exclusive to individuals who are current residents of Canada and are at least 18 years old as of May 26, 2025. The following individuals are NOT eligible to enter the Contest:

a) Current employees and board members of the Terry Fox Foundation or Terry Fox Research Institute, and staff of related agencies and/or corporations.

b) A member from the household of any of the individuals listed in (a).

c) Immediate family members (including but not limited to spouse, sibling, parent, child) of the individuals listed in (a).

2. What are the dates of the Contest? 

The Contest will run from May 26, 2025, to June 22, 2025, at 11:59 pm ET. Entries to the Contest will only be accepted during this period. A winner will be contacted by email from a staff member of the Terry Fox Foundation on June 25, 2025.

3. How do I participate in the Contest? 

No purchase necessary to enter the Contest. For a chance to win, participants must complete the following criteria during the Contest period:

a) Follow the Terry Fox Foundation’s official Instagram account.

b) Like and comment on the Terry Fox Foundation’s official Prince Edward Island Contest Instagram post.

c) Register for any 2025 Terry Fox Run and collect 10 sponsors on their Terry Fox Run fundraising page.

Participants can also receive a bonus entry (“Bonus Entry”) by signing up as a Terry Fox Foundation monthly donor at terryfox.org/ways-to-give.

If all or any of the above entry and/or Bonus Entry criteria are completed prior to the start date of the Contest and are in good standing by the Contest end date, said completed criteria will be considered valid for Contest entry.

4. How many times can I enter the Contest? 

All participants who complete the criteria outlined in 3 a), 3 b), and 3 c) will receive ONE entry to the Contest. Participants can receive ONE additional entry by completing the Bonus Entry criteria outlined in section 3 above. One participant can have a maximum of TWO entries.

5. What is the Contest Prize? 


The winner (“Winner”) of the Contest will receive a prize (the “Prize”) consisting of:

• Round-trip business class flights (where available) for two people from the winner’s closest major Canadian airport to Charlottetown Airport (YYG) with a connection at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) or Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) where required.
• A rental car to use for the duration of the Winner’s stay in Prince Edward Island up to a maximum of four (4) days.
• Three-night stay at The Holman Grand Hotel from September 19, 2025, to September 22, 2025
• Two (2) weekend passes to the PEI International Shellfish Festival from September 19, 2025, to September 21, 2025
• Admission for two (2) to the Green Gables Heritage Place
• Guaranteed registration for the Terry Fox Run on Confederation Bridge on September 21, 2025 
• A 2025 Terry Fox Run Finish It merchandise prize pack

Approximate retail value of the Prize is $9,500 CAD. Actual value of the Prize will depend on departure and return location in Canada and any fluctuations in Prize item fares. The Winner will not be awarded any difference between the approximate retail value and actual value.

6. Are there Prize conditions? 

a) The Winner and their guest will be required to travel to and from Prince Edward Island using flights provided by Air Canada and booked by the Terry Fox Foundation.

b) The Winner and their guest must have valid documentation for travel within Canada.

c) A minimum of one person, either the Winner or their guest, must travel with a valid credit card to cover any incidentals or other requirements at hotel check-in.

d) The Prize consists exclusively of the items listed in section 5 above. No additional costs associated with partaking in the Prize activities and events will be covered (including but not limited to, additional accommodations, meals, excursions, phone service, insurance, additional transportation, baggage fees, in-flight purchases, etc.). Any additional costs will be the sole responsibility of the Winner and their guest.

e) The Prize is non-refundable, non-transferable, and has no cash value, except for the two round-trip Air Canada flights, which may be transferred to two (2) other individuals at the Winner’s and Terry Fox Foundation’s discretion.

7. How will the Winner be selected? 

The Winner will be chosen by random draw on June 25, 2025, from the group of eligible entries.

8. Can the Prize be altered after the Contest opens? 


The Terry Fox Foundation and members involved in the creation of this Contest reserve the right to alter Prize inclusions if required in the Foundation’s sole discretion. Alterations may occur due to situations outside of the Terry Fox Foundation’s control, such as, but not limited to, weather, illness, travel delays, world events, etc. The Winner of the Contest will be made aware of any Prize alterations and will be provided with additional Prize options if required. It is the Terry Fox Foundation’s intent to run the Contest as originally outlined in the Terms and Conditions above.
