THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN THE TERRY FOX NATIONAL RIDE OF HOPE!

On June 9, a small-but-mighty peloton of passionate cyclists (led by Terry’s brother Darrell) will embark on an epic cross-country journey. These cause-driven riders will pedal 7,000 kilometres from Vancouver to St. John’s.

They’ll be riding, fundraising, and uniting Canadians in a unique tribute to the 45th anniversary of Terry’s historic Marathon of Hope.

If you’re an experienced cyclist, you’re invited to join the peloton as it crosses your province. Of course, we’re looking for more than just strong riding skills. We’re recruiting cyclists who are also passionate about raising funds for innovative cancer research.

If this describes you, you’re invited to complete the application below.

I’m cause-driven and passionate! It feels good to give. If the notion of giving back is high on your “to do” list, we want you!

I could not leave [the cancer ward] knowing these faces and feelings would still exist even though I would be set free from mine.  Somewhere the hurting must stop, and I was determined to take myself to the limit for this cause. ~Terry Fox

I’m a strong cyclist! Safety is our top priority. Riders must have experience riding as part of a group and must be capable of travelling an average 30km/hour in a peloton.

Today we got up at 4:00 AM. As usual, it was tough. [But] I was happy because I was doing what I wanted to do. How many people could say that? ~Terry Fox

I’m committed to fundraising for innovative cancer research! You’ll be encouraged to set a minimum fundraising goal of $1,500. Rest assured: you don’t have to do it alone! Reach out to your family, friends, colleagues, and extended community to achieve – and, like Terry, crush – your goal.

I’m running across Canada…. It is a personal challenge, but I’m trying to raise as much money as I can for a very important cause. ~Terry Fox
